1. Am I a candidate for Sage and You?

Sage and You courses are ideally suited for anyone involved in the development, creation or approval of marketing communications. Specifically, our courses are designed for professionals in marketing management (e.g., consumer products, packaged goods, service organizations, internet companies, B2B), advertising agencies, direct marketing/CRM clients and agencies, and other marketing communications clients and suppliers (e.g., sales promotion, PR, marketing research, marketing consultants, sales personnel and representatives).

2. Who should take which course?

The Sage & You curriculum is comprised of sets of core courses that address certain competencies that marketing practitioners must possess. These are grouped under Brand Marketing and Agency Operations:

Brand Marketing Core courses can be taken by practitioners at any level to familiarize themselves with these core competencies, to become conversant with the issues in each of the basic areas of marketing practice, and to access practical tools and processes that will help them do their job better. Specifically, these courses are designed to give the entry level learner a solid footing in the fundamentals, provide the accomplished practitioner with some new concepts, ideas and perspectives, and remind the seasoned veteran of important principles that may have been forgotten or fallen into disuse.

For the most part, the Agency Operational Core courses are geared to the junior to mid-level marketing communications executive, who need to have a better understanding of certain operational areas. Our Personal Communications courses, however, might be taken by anyone wanting to improve their writing or presentation skills.

Beyond the core courses, Sage & You plans to offer a variety of Specialty Courses that are designed to amplify and extend the core curricula, leading to a higher level of proficiency in specific areas of practice. Again these courses are divided into two groups those that have to do with Brand Marketing and those that relate to Agency Operations.

Specialty courses that are grouped with the Brand Marketing Core are complementary to the core courses and either amplify the mini-curricula within the core, or deal with a specific aspect of that core competency in greater detail (e.g., individual communications disciplines, special analytic or planning tools, etc.). These courses are appropriate for anyone who is seeking greater knowledge in these specific areas.

Specialty courses that are grouped with the Agency Operational Core cover different aspects of agency management and operations. As such, the appropriateness of these courses will vary by function (e.g., account management leadership).

4. How do I enroll in a course?

Once you have selected a course from our Course Catalog, simply click on the course title and follow the steps for ordering the course. Purchases can be securely made online or you may complete and print the registration form and fax it to us at 248-646-7636. Once the registration process is complete, you will receive a confirmation e-mail that will provide you with basic instructions to help you get started.

6. Do you offer discounts for your courses?

Yes! Sage and You offers course discounts to:
  1. Members of a Sage and You association alliance partner. Sage and You has partnered with professional associations to provide their members a discount when purchasing our courses. Simply check the appropriate box within the ordering process to indicate your membership in an alliance member s association and your discount will be shown on your order form. We will notify the association of your purchase and your support of our alliance.

7. What is your refund policy?

We are confident that the content of our courses meet the highest standards. If you are not satisfied with one of our online courses, you may request a refund within 7 days from the date you first access the course provided you have not completed more than 20% of the course.

To request a refund, please send an e-mail that includes your name, e-mail address, business name, address, phone number, course name, and the reason you are dissatisfied with the course to support@sageandyou.com. (Sage and You reserves the right to change this policy at any time.)

9. How long are the courses?

The length of our courses varies, although most courses can be completed in an hour or two. (Remember, all of our courses can be taken in increments that fit your schedule.) Please refer to the individual course details via the Course Catalog for estimated course length.

10. How much time do I have to complete a course?

As described in our Terms & Conditions, a course subscription is effective for 90 days from the date of first access to the course. The subscription will terminate immediately without notice from Sage and You upon expiration. If an extension beyond the 90-day limit is needed, please e-mail us at support@sageandyou.com.
